Salman Khan ready to battle it out with Shah Rukh Khan at the box office this Eid!

Salman Khan’s Sultan & Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees fighting at the box office this Eid has got everyone talking. When reports of Raees shifting it’s release date came out the film’s producer Ritesh Sidhwani immediately clarified and insisted that SRK’s movie was on schedule. And now we have an EXCLUSIVE official statement from Yash Raj Films spokesperson on Sultan. Which makes it clear that the clash of the titans at the box office will indeed take place and the Khan war is back on track. Yes, YRF spokesperson in an official statement to BollywoodLife said, “The film will release in Eid 2016 as always scheduled. There was never any shift or change.”

For those of you who have not followed the developments on Sultan v/s Raees clash here’s a lowdown…

# Ritesh Sidhwani recently in an interview to a daily insisted that SRK‘s Raees will take the Eid slot this year. He said, “We have finished shooting most of the movie. Right now, we are working on the parts that were left, including a few action sequences that couldn’t be shot earlier due to Shah Rukh’s knee surgery.” He also revealed that their “planned” release date is when the movie will be out.

# Sidhwani also hinted that Sultan might just miss the Eid mark and added, “Everyone talks about their deadlines, but there are five months left for Eid. So, you don’t know what will happen. As of now, we’re scheduled to release our film on that day.”

With Aditya Chopra’s team confirming that Sultan will hit the screens on Eid this year and Raeesteam insisting that they won’t back out, it means that there will be fireworks at the box office this July.
